I originally read of this locale in a travel magazine. Tent Rocks Canyon trail is 3 miles out, (and 3 back) hiking through a slot canyon with hoodos & striated rock formations. This is a religious site of the Cochiti Pueblo.
I'm honored to have "brought Grandma" on my trip, (via the scarf) especially to the trail. Earliest hiking /camping memories include her. I carry on her love of travel/ hiking/ Nature. The scarf kept perspiration from my eyes too!
This was as far up as the trail could safely take me. I wasn't sure if the last few steep steps were meant to be taken so I played it safe. After making that determination, I turned around and saw this view! It was then that I realized I completed the 3 mile trail. :) Victory!
